Challenge BiRite Foodservice outgrew its San Francisco facility. Inside, they needed more office and production space. Outside, they needed more room for truck parking. Without room for expansion, BiRite sought a new site. Solution After locating an existing tilt-up building on a 9 acre site in nearby Brisbane, BiRite hired W.E. Lyons Construction and Wildman & Morris to provide budgeting and design-build services for this warehouse and office modernization project and an addition that would feature a cold storage distribution facility. By utilizing a design-build approach, BiRite received maximum construction quality, lower costs and, in the long run, reduced maintenance costs. Highlights
