Challenge

Pacific-Agri Products needed more freezer space and was anticipating the need to construct an exterior addition.

Solution

After providing site selection services and value engineering, W.E. Lyons Construction and Bonelli+Associates determined that installing a new freezer inside an existing tilt-up building Pacific-Agri Products already owned would be the most economical solution. The resulting 40,000 square foot facility and 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art freezer provided 50% more freezer space and saved the owner 25% compared to the originally planned expansion. The computerized refrigeration system was designed to maximize power savings and reduce the owner's maintenance costs.
