Challenge Collagen Corporation needed a stand-alone abattoir to support cow hide processing for the pharmaceutical industry. The facility needed to qualify as a laboratory, as well as a food processing facility. After processing the hides, the remainder would be processed into packaged meat for local markets. Solution Clausen Engineers designed this state-of-the-art facility, prepared the USDA construction documents, obtained county approvals and provided construction management services. W.E.
