Challenge

Toyota uses a custom auto-loading stacking system for loading new cars onto trucks. Toyota depends on this specialized machinery two shifts a day, five days a week, regardless of weather conditions. The customer required a cost-effective building to protect the machinery and employees from inclement weather. The building would have to be constructed over and around the existing stacking machinery without disrupting its operation.

Solution

W.E. Lyons Construction utilized a pre-engineered metal building system to provide Toyota with cost-effective and workable solution. By constructing the footings during normal working hours and performing the structural work during off-hours, W.E. Lyons completed the entire process—design, permits, construction and acceptance—in less than ten weeks. Most importantly, Toyota did not miss a single shipment.
